I think This is thrilling news.

Wow! That's amazing! What kind of cooling system would be used though if that were available in consumer machines?

It won't be in consumer amchines for a long time, and if it was at least at first you'd just run it at room temperature. I'd assume data centers would just pump a shitload of liquid nitrigen.

I can see it now, your computer is kept inside your fridge. Ho ha ha!

The chips wouldn't be shipped untill computers had good enough cooling for them to live in.
Think, if ibm ships out lodes've chips and they all fry, there not going to look that good.
Bob, do you think apple'll switch back to ibm now that they've done this or do you think theyll stick with the intel dooe chips?

BEN.

Yea!now see, that's my question. Perhaps apple should have hung in there just a bit longer and then they could have blown intel out of the watter. For that matter why didn't they go with an AMD chip?

I don't know chip history very well, but I doubt that Apple will switch based on this preliminary report. The exciteing thing is the speed, but it's not ready for prime time yet.

Hmm, cruising at breaking speed on a mac! what an apealing thinkg. Well, the intel g5 is kinda nice so guess I'll enjoy that for a while. Keep us posted on that great news.
